The road to the future for our children will pose many choices and opportunities. It is imperative that our children's experiences in their early years set a solid foundation for their future success. I personally welcome you to the Rose and Jules Lustig Early Childhood Center of Temple Beth Am. Our purpose is to provide the highest quality educational experience, being responsive to the individualized needs of the total child in a creative, warm, nurturing, Jewish environment.

Our program is based on the child's need for spontaneous, active play, and involves hands-on learning experiences. Our learning center approach affords the child an opportunity to explore, discover and create with the optimum child-teacher ratio. We are proud to boast that we have curriculum specialists for each of our age groups as well as physical education and computer specialists. The decision to enroll your child in an educational program is not an easy one, nor one to be made lightly. It is one that requires a great deal of thought and decision making. The school you choose should be the one that you think offers your child the best opportunities for preschool years filled with the joy of learning, healthy self esteem and friendships to last a lifetime. I invite you to visit Temple Beth Am E.C.C. and discover why we are the premier preschool in Broward County. Your child is precious and deserves the very best in their road to success and happiness. Let that road lead them to Temple Beth Am E.C.C.

Religious School Principal

Roneet Edrich, our new Religious School Principal is not new to our Temple Beth Am family.  Roneet has been on our teaching staff for the past twelve years.  Her experiences at Temple Beth Am include teaching 4th, 6th, and 7th grades.  In addition to teaching the upper grades, Roneet was part of a pilot program for the Etgar curriculum that was created by JTS.  Prior teaching experiences include teaching for Broward County Public Schools, and for the Somerset County Educational Services Commission in New Jersey.  Originally from New Jersey, Roneet and her family moved to Florida 14 years ago, where she currently resides with her husband Richie, and 3 children, Aviva (13), Oren (11), and Ariella (6).

Roneet received her B.S. in education from the University of Wisconsin, and has been continuing her education since, both at Nova Southeastern University, and Palm Beach State College.  As a child, Roneet spent many summers in Israel with her family as well as on organized programs through various Jewish movements.  She was an active participant in USY and was a part of a Jewish Teen tikun olam project entitled Mitzvah Corps.  As a High School student, Roneet participated in an exchange program where she had the opportunity to live with an Israeli family, and attend a typical Israeli High School in Haifa, for 6 months.

For the past 3 summers, Roneet has been on the teaching staff at Camp Ramah Darom where she is fortunate to immerse herself with experiential Jewish Education.  Roneet has been able to recreate many of these hands on experiences here at Temple Beth Am.   Many of our Religious School children attend Ramah with Roneet and they cherish the special bond that they share together from their Ramah experience.

Roneet’s vision for the Solomon Geld Religious School is to develop competent Jewish young adults who have a love for Judaism and  a strong Jewish identity.  With the use of multi-modalities, and experiential learning, our Religious School students here at Temple Beth Am have the benefit of a dynamic veteran staff that identifies the needs of each child.

Our school continues to emphasize Hebrew reading as well as recitation and understanding of t’fillot.  Cultivation of Jewish identity is established through understanding of Jewish Life cycle events and traditional practices as they relate to Jewish Holidays and Shabbat.  The study of Torah and the ethics and values we ascertain from Torah are present across all grade levels.  Our connection with the Givon School in Nesher, Israel allows our students to foster a connection between students in Israel and the Diaspora.  The study of Israel, both historical and present is omnipresent in our school to further create a connection and love for Israel.

Remember to check out the scribe for information on what is currently happening in our school.  Parental involvement is an important key to successful learning of children, so we encourage you to get involved.  Thank you for sharing your children with us!

Youth Director

Prior to becoming a Family Member of Temple Beth Am in August 2003, Zoe originally hailed from Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Growing up in a small community fostered a great sense of Jewish pride which was highlighted through her family, BBYO, Hebrew High and summer camp. Amongst many of her favorite things to do which included baseball, basketball, swimming and movie going, Zoe found time to travel extensively to Israel including organized trips like, Project Renewal-Or Yehuda, Project Otzma,  making Aliyah and volunteering 2 years to the Nachal Brigade of the IDF.

After finding her way back to North America, Zoe found work through the Canada Israel Experience which allowed her to travel freely between Canada and Israel. Between planning and overseeing various Day School trips to Israel, Zoe was also a part of the original birthright Canada team. Deciding it was time to put down some serious roots, JewishJobs.com helped Zoe find her way to what she now refers to as a true home at Temple Beth Am in Margate.

Five years later, Zoe has found her niche as well as a loving husband and a beautiful daughter.
